Idea For A Universal History |
We start our short world history with a discussion of the framework created by
Kant's philosophy of history, and by the idea of Big History, history since the
big bang. Our history will be big history leading into a philosophy of history,
history as the chronicle of the evolution of man's freedom, among many other
topics. We look at the timelines of the Big Bang cosmology, the emergence of
life, and the evolution of man. From there we explore the beginnings of world
history in the Neolthic, then the greater starting era of Egypt and Sumer.
